Sewa Parv 2025: Celebrating Developed India Through Art

The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is set to host the Sewa Parv 2025 from September 17 to October 2, 2025, celebrating a festival of service, creativity, and cultural pride. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision for a developed India by 2047. The event aims to unite communities, institutions, and individuals in a collective movement centered around the themes of service and cultural expression. On September 25, 2025, vibrant art workshops will take place across various cities, showcasing the rich tapestry of India’s artistic heritage.

Art Workshops Across India

On September 25, 2025, the Ministry of Culture will organize a series of art workshops under the theme โ€œViksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala ke Sang.โ€ These workshops will be held in multiple locations, including Ganjam (Odisha), Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh), Patiala (Punjab), Jaipur and Udaipur (Rajasthan), Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh), Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Agartala (Tripura), and Dehradun (Uttarakhand). Each workshop aims to foster creativity and encourage participants to engage with their cultural roots.

In Ganjam, the Government College of Art & Crafts will host a large-scale workshop, featuring participation from students and local artists. The event will be attended by Smt. Anita Subhadarshini, a Member of Parliament, who will inspire attendees to merge creativity with social responsibility. Similarly, Bareilly will see an art workshop at Jai Narayan Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, attended by notable figures such as Shri Arun Kumar Saxena, the State Minister for Forest and Environment.

Prominent Figures and Community Engagement

The art workshops will not only focus on creativity but also emphasize community involvement. In Patiala, the workshop at Virsa Vihar Kendra will be graced by Sh. Jaswant Singh Jaffar, Director of the Language Department, and Ms. Sunita Dhir, a renowned theatre and film artist. Their presence will motivate participants to explore their creative expressions as part of Indiaโ€™s cultural journey.

In Jaipur, the Mahatma Gandhi Government School will host an art workshop with Shri Rajendra Hans, a retired District Education Officer, as the chief guest. He will commend the students for their enthusiasm in linking art to nation-building. The workshops will also take place in Khairagarh, Udaipur, Coimbatore, Agartala, and Dehradun, each featuring local dignitaries who will encourage participants to contribute to the vision of a developed India.

Digital Participation and Community Contributions

To enhance engagement, the Ministry of Culture has established a digital platform for Sewa Parv. This portal allows institutions and individuals to document and share their experiences. Participants can upload their artworks and creative expressions, contributing to a collective celebration of culture. The portal also serves as a resource for branding and publicity materials related to the event.

Individuals interested in participating can create artwork based on the theme โ€œViksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala Ke Sangโ€ and upload their creations on the Sewa Parv portal. Additionally, they can join painting workshops at one of the 75 designated locations across the country. This initiative aims to showcase the diversity of Indiaโ€™s creative landscape and reaffirm the commitment of citizens to building a developed nation by 2047.

Celebrating Cultural Heritage

The Sewa Parv initiative will culminate in a cultural program held on September 24 at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology in Gangtok, Sikkim. This event will bring together around 200 participants, including local leaders and community members, highlighting the importance of cultural heritage in the nationwide celebration. The workshops and events planned during Sewa Parv will serve as a platform for students, artists, and community leaders to express their creativity and engage in meaningful cultural dialogues.

Through these efforts, the Ministry of Culture aims to foster a sense of unity and pride among citizens, encouraging them to actively participate in the cultural and artistic expressions that define India’s rich heritage.
