HMD Launches New Feature Phones at MWC 2025

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Human Mobile Devices (HMD) unveiled a trio of new feature phones, including the HMD 2660 Flip, HMD 130 Music, and HMD 150 Music. The HMD 2660 Flip is a refreshed version of the Nokia 2660 Flip, originally launched in 2022, while the other two models are designed with music enthusiasts in mind. These devices emphasize simplicity, offering essential functionalities without touch screens, and are now available in various international markets.

HMD 2660 Flip: Specifications and Features

The HMD 2660 Flip, showcased in Barcelona, is designed to be a “detox device,” encouraging users to step back from the complexities of modern smartphones. This flip-style phone features a 2.8-inch QVGA primary display and a 1.77-inch cover display. It is available in Cosy Black and Twilight Violet, with a Raspberry Red option expected soon.

Equipped with large buttons for easy dialing and T9 messaging support, the HMD 2660 Flip allows users to flip the phone open to answer calls. It also includes a 0.3-megapixel rear camera, complemented by an LED flash that doubles as a torch. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2 and VoLTE support, while the device is powered by a 1,450mAh removable battery. Users will find 48MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via micro SD cards. Additionally, the phone features built-in FM radio support and USB Type-C charging.

HMD 130 Music and HMD 150 Music: Music-Centric Designs

The HMD 130 Music and HMD 150 Music are tailored for music lovers, boasting retro designs and dedicated music playback features. The HMD 130 Music is available in Dark Grey, Blue, and Red, while the HMD 150 Music comes in Dark Grey, Purple, and Light Blue. Both models have yet to be launched in India.

These devices feature a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 8MB of RAM, and 82MB of internal storage, which can also be expanded up to 32GB with a micro SD card. For music playback, they are equipped with a 2W speaker and dedicated music buttons, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio connectivity. The HMD 130 Music includes a dual torch module at the top, enhancing its utility. Both models are powered by a robust 2,500mAh removable battery and support USB Type-C charging, making them practical choices for users seeking straightforward functionality.

Availability and Market Reach

HMD has launched these new feature phones in several international markets, aiming to cater to users who prefer simpler devices without the distractions of modern smartphones.
