5TH EDITION OF AUSINDEX-23 AT SYDNEY

The fifth edition of the biennial maritime exercise AUSINDEX between the Indian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) was held Aug. 22-25 23 in Sydney, Australia. INS Sahyadri and INS Kolkata participated in the exercise alongside HMAS Choules and HMAS Brisbane of the RAN. In addition to the ships and their helicopters, fighter jets and maritime patrol aircraft also participated in the exercise.

Conducted over 4 days, AUSINDEX included a series of complex exercises in all three areas of maritime operations. The exercise concluded on a positive note, revalidating common procedures and reaffirming the close links and interoperability between the Indian Navy and the RAN.
