Pumpuang Duangjan (4 August 1961 – 13 June 1992) was a Thai megastar. She was the symbol of Thai songs culture. She was the singer, actress who pioneered electronic Luk Thung.

Pumpuang Duangjan, also known as Pu Phuang Duangchan, was a legendary Thai singer. She was born on 4 August 1961, in Udon Thani, Thailand. Pumpuang was known for her powerful and emotive voice, and she gained immense popularity for her contributions to luk thung music, a genre of Thai folk music that often deals with themes of rural life, love, and hardship.

Pumpuang Duangjan’s career took off in the 1980s, and she quickly became one of the most beloved and iconic luk thung singers in Thailand.
