Bhulabhai Desai (13 October 1877 – 6 May 1946), was an eminent jurist, prominent parliamentary leader, and a trusted aide of Mahatma Gandhi. He had unique qualities of parliamentary leadership. As the leader of the Congress party, the bureaucracy was always in terror of him. The skill and ability with which Bhulabhai Desai had supported the soldiers in the treason case against the commanders of ‘Azad Hind Fauj’ Shahnawaz, Dhillon, and Sehgal, their fame had spread not only in the country but also abroad. Bhulabhai Desai had unique qualities of parliamentary leadership. As the leader of the Congress party, the bureaucracy was always in terror of him. In his speeches, there was an effective combination of facts, arguments, and satirical humorous statements. He was Born on 13 October 1877 in Gujrat.

Kottari Kankaiah Naidu (13 October 1895 – 14 November 1967), was the first Test captain of the Indian cricket team. C. K. Naidu continued to play cricket till the age, which is a daydream even for today’s players. Naidu’s fitness at that time is a lesson for today’s players who get injured only after the second and third matches. At the age of 37, when players started retiring today, then C.K. Naidu started playing Test matches. He had been playing cricket by staying fit for 68 years. Naidu was the captain of India’s first Test team. He was the first cricketer from India, who was honored by the government with ‘Padma Bhushan’ in the year 1956. C. K. Naidu was also known for his excellent fitness. He played his last match at the age of 68. He was Born on 13 October 1895 in Maharashtra.

Ashok Kumar (13 October 1911 – 10 December 2000), was a famous actor, and producer-director of Hindi films. Ashok Kumar was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 1999 in the field of art. The Yug Purush of Hindi cinema Kumud Kumar Ganguly aka Ashok Kumar is remembered as an actor Who gave naturalness to acting by ending the then-prevalent theater-style and thrilled cinema lovers with his excellent work for six decades.[1] Ashok Kumar’s real name is Kumud Ganguly. He is known as Dada Muni. Ashok Kumar acted in more than 300 films. He received many Awards including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Bhushan, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, and Filmfare Award. He was Born on 13 October 1911 in Bihar.

Death Anniversary

Kishore Kumar (4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987), is one of the famous playback singer communities of Indian cinema. He is also known as a good actor. In the Hindi film industry, she sang in several Indian languages ​​including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Oriya, and Urdu. He won 8 Filmfare Awards for Best Playback Singer and holds the record for winning the most Filmfare Awards in that category. In the same year, he was awarded the Lata Mangeshkar Award by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. In 1975, at the time of Emergency in the country, the then Information and Broadcasting Minister Vidyacharan Shukla banned the broadcast of Kishore Kumar’s songs from Akashvani for refusing to participate in a government function and income tax was imposed on Kishore Kumar’s house. Raids were also conducted. But Kishore Kumar did not support the Emergency. It is a matter of misfortune and shame that many films made by Kishore Kumar have been confiscated by the Income Tax Department and are shedding tears over their plight there in unclaimed condition. Many films in these films are still invisible. Kishore Kumar acted in 81 films and also directed 18 films. In the film ‘Padosan’, he played the role of a cool maula man, the same character he played in his real life throughout his life. He died on 13 October 1987.

Margaret Alice Murray (13 July 1863 – 13 November 1963) was a British-Indian Egyptologist, archaeologist, anthropologist, historian, and folklorist who was born in India. The first woman to be appointed as a lecturer in archaeology in the United Kingdom, she worked at University College London from 1898 to 1935.
