Lalmani Mishra (11 August 1924 – 17 July 1979), a sage of the Indian music world, was as well known for his scholarship as his art. Dr Lalmani Mishra, rich in versatility, did research on the history and development of Indian musical instruments, along with developing the technique of playing the veena secretly by listening to Ustad Abdul Aziz Khan of Patiala. To preserve these received swaras of Samaveda, he created ‘Raag Sameshwari’. For the first time in human history, it was possible to listen to the twenty-two Shrutis ordained by Bharata Muni on the Shruti-Veena, a musical instrument created by Dr. Mishra. He was Born on 11 August 1924 in Kanpur. Duvvuri Subbarao, the 22nd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. His tenure lasted from September 5, 2008, to September 4, 2013. D. Subbarao is a 1972 batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre. In 1969, he completed his B.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Honours completed. Later he did M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Has received the title of. In 1972, he earned success in the Indian Administrative Service. In 1978 he earned a master’s degree in economics from Ohio State University. He later did his PhD in Economics from Andhra University. Took the degree. Subbarao was Born on 11 August 1949 in Andhra Pradesh.
Madireddy Venkat Narasimha Rao is a former Indian cricketer who played in 4 Tests from 1978 to 1979. He was picked to play against West Indies in 1978-79 but after two Tests he was dropped. He was again brought back the following season for the series against Kim Hughes’ Australian team but again discarded after two Tests. As an alert close-in fielder, however, he did well in picking up eight catches. In first-class cricket his record was very impressive – 4124 runs (avg 47.40) and 218 wickets (avg 24.20). In December 2012, M.V. Narasimha Rao became the first Indian cricketer to be conferred with the prestigious Member of British Empire (MBE) medallion for his contribution to promoting the sport and also for community service through cricket during the testing times faced by the ethnic community in Northern Ireland. Later after he retired, he set up the St Johns Cricket Academy which produced many stars like VVS Laxman, Mithali Raj, Bavanaka Sandeep, Hanuma Vihari, and Tarun Nethula. Rao was Born on 11 August 1954 in Hyderabad. Anju Jain is a former Indian women’s cricketer who played eight Test matches for the Indian women’s cricket team from 1995 to 2003 and a total of 65 ODIs from 1995 to 2005. Was a part of the team in international cricket matches. It was a wicket-keeper of the team. She captained the Indian team in a total of 8 ODIs, all the matches were of the 2000 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Anju Jain used to play domestic cricket matches for the Air India women’s cricket team. In 2005, President of India APJ Abdul Kalam honoured Anju with the Arjuna Award. Jain was Born on 11 August 1975 in New Delhi.

Death Anniversary
11 August in Indian history is observed as the death anniversary of the following personalities:
Khudiram Bose (3 December 1889 – 11 August 1908) was a revolutionary who was hanged for the freedom of India at the age of 19. The history of the Indian freedom struggle is full of adventures of hundreds of revolutionaries. One name on the list of such revolutionaries is Khudiram Bose. After the partition of Bengal in 1905, Khudiram Bose jumped into the country’s liberation movement. Khudiram Bose started his revolutionary life under the leadership of Satyen Bose. He became a member of the Revolutionary Party and was instrumental in distributing the Vande Mataram pamphlet. He also actively participated in the movement against the partition of Bengal in 1905. On May 16, 1906, he was once again arrested by the police, but due to his low age, he was released with a warning. Bose was also involved in the bomb blast at Narayangarh railway station in Bengal on 6 December 1907. He actively participated in the boycott movement of English goods. Bose was so passionate about freeing Mother India from the shackles of slavery that he left his studies only after the ninth standard and jumped into the war with a shroud on his head. After studying the activities of Kingsford, he threw a bomb on Kingsford’s wagon as soon as he left the European Club on 30 April 1908. But unfortunately, in that carriage of the same size were sitting two European women who were the wife and daughter of an advocate named Pingle Kennedy, they were killed. Thinking of success in killing the revolutionary Kingsford, he escaped from the scene. He was produced in court on 8 June 1908 and sentenced to life imprisonment on 13 June. Such a heinous case and ended in just five days. This thing will remain a joke in the history of justice. On August 11, 1908, this brave revolutionary was hanged. He gave his life for the freedom of the country. Khudiram Bose is considered the first martyr of the organized revolutionary movement for India’s independence. He is reverently remembered from house to house for his boldness and encouragement till death. He died on 11 August 1908.
Nand Dulare Bajpai (4 September 1906 – 11 August 1967) was a famous Hindi journalist, critic, litterateur, critic, and editor. He was the editor of ‘Bharat’ for some time. Nanddulare Vajpayee edited ‘Sursagar’ in ‘Kashi Nagri Pracharini Sabha’ and later ‘Ramcharitmanas’ in ‘Gita Press’, Gorakhpur. He was for some time a teacher in the Hindi department of ‘Banaras Hindu University and also the chairman of the Hindi department of ‘Sagar Vishwavidyalaya’ for many years. At the time of his death, Nanddulare Vajpayee was the Vice-Chancellor of Vikram Vishwavidyalaya in Ujjain. While editing ‘Sursagar’ and ‘Ramcharitmanas’, Vajpayee ji made a deep study of Indian history, philosophy, etc. along with medieval devotional poetry and thus linked his thinking with the living tradition. He died on 11 August 1967.
