Tata Steel Acquires 23% Stake in TM International Logistics

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has greenlit Tata Steel Ltd.’s acquisition of a 23% equity stake in TM International Logistics Ltd. This significant move involves Tata Steel purchasing the entire shareholding held by its joint venture partner, IQ Martrade Holding Und Management GmbH, thereby facilitating IQ Martrade’s exit from TM International Logistics Limited (TMILL).

Once this acquisition is finalized, IQ Martrade will no longer hold any shares in TMILL. Following this transition, Tata Steel and its partner NYK (Europe) B.V. will hold 74% and 26% of the equity shares in TMILL, respectively. This strategic investment highlights Tata Steel’s commitment to bolstering its logistics capabilities.
