Reforms Utsav Celebrates 12 Years of Minority Governance in India
In a landmark event celebrating twelve years of transformative governance, the Ministry of Minority Affairs hosted the first-ever “Reforms Utsav” in New Delhi. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to reform-oriented governance and citizen-centric services tailored for minority communities across India.
The vibrant event took place at Bharat Mandapam and showcased various initiatives aimed at fostering inclusive development, enhancing transparency, and utilizing technology for efficient service delivery. Prominent attendees included Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, along with Shri George Kurian, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, and Dr. Srivatsa Krishna, Secretary of the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Beneficiaries from diverse minority communities who directly benefited from various Ministry schemes were also present.
During his address, Shri Kiren Rijiju emphasized the government’s steadfast commitment to inclusive growth. Over the past twelve years, the Ministry has made significant strides in making its programs more accessible and effective.
Rijiju outlined the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047, indicating a future where all citizens enjoy equal access to opportunities, quality education, affordable housing, healthcare, and digital connectivity. He noted that testimonials from beneficiaries at the event demonstrated the tangible benefits of the Ministry’s various schemes.
Shri George Kurian highlighted the critical role of last-mile delivery and community participation in the effective execution of government programs.
