PM pays homage to Sardar Patel on his Punya Tithi

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, (31 October 1875- 15 December 1950) was an Indian Statesman. He served as the first Deputy Prime Minister of India from 1947 to 1950. He is known as the Iron man of India and known for the reunification of India. On his Birthday, every year National Unity Day is celebrated.

After his death. In 1991, He was awarded with Bharat Ratna, the Highest Civilian award in India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujrat is named after him. The Statue of Unity is a monument dedicated to Patel, located in the Indian state of Gujarat, facing the Narmada Dam, 3.2 km away from Sadhu Bet near Vadodara.

Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid homage to Sardar Patel on his Punya Tithi and recalled his everlasting contribution to India.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;

“I pay homage to Sardar Patel on his Punya Tithi and recall his everlasting contribution to India, especially in uniting our nation and giving impetus to all-round development.”

Mallikarjun Kharge, President of INC, also paid homage Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In this tweet, he conveyed, “All are the sons and daughters of India. We should all love our country and build our destiny on mutual love and help” In utmost reverence, we pay our humble homage to the great unifier of India & our inspiration, Sardar Patel ji on his death anniversary.
