Nominations for Phase 1 of the General Elections have begun after ECI’s Gazette notification.
Nominations for the First Phase of General Elections have opened this morning. The Election Commission of India issued a Gazette notification today for 102 Parliamentary Constituencies across 21 States and Union Territories that will be going to polls in the General Elections for Lok Sabha in 2024. The polling for these constituencies in Phase 1 will take place on April 19, 2024. The States and Union Territories included in Phase 1 are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.
