New Yoga Newsletter Launches Ahead of IDY 2025

As the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) approaches, the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) has unveiled a dedicated newsletter aimed at enhancing public engagement and awareness. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Ayush, is designed to provide timely updates and encourage participation in the global celebration of yoga. With the event just weeks away, the newsletter is set to play a crucial role in connecting stakeholders and audiences worldwide.
Government Officials Praise the Initiative
Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (IC) for the Ministry of Ayush, emphasized the importance of the newsletter, stating, “This newsletter is a vital step towards ensuring timely and transparent updates for citizens and stakeholders alike.” He noted that it embodies the spirit of the IDY 2025 theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” as envisioned by the Prime Minister during his Mann Ki Baat address. Jadhav commended MDNIY for its commitment to this initiative.
Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, echoed this sentiment, highlighting that the newsletter aims to bring citizens closer to yoga and promote widespread participation in IDY 2025. He stated, “It encourages holistic well-being, aligning with our shared vision of health and harmony for all.” The initiative aims to foster a sense of community and inclusivity as the event draws near.
Comprehensive Updates and Engagement Strategies
The newsletter is designed to keep the public informed about the latest developments related to IDY 2025, including event plans, milestones, and logistical preparations. It aims to generate excitement and awareness among citizens, institutions, media outlets, and international partners, reinforcing the central message of holistic health and well-being through yoga.
In addition to sharing registration details and participation guidelines, the newsletter will highlight community-led initiatives and showcase the country’s preparedness for the event. This includes ground-level activities, rehearsals, and signature campaigns like Harit Yoga. The goal is to ensure that the IDY message resonates across all sections of society.
Strengthening Global Outreach and Collaboration
A key objective of the newsletter is to enhance stakeholder engagement by aligning government bodies, yoga institutions, educational organizations, and global missions under a unified vision. The Ministry plans to use this platform to promote innovative campaigns, digital tools such as yoga apps, and the special theme for the year, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The newsletter will also serve as a communication bridge, featuring updates on pre-events, curtain raisers, and international collaborations. It will spotlight success stories from previous editions and include insights from renowned yoga practitioners and scientists. This initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of making yoga a unifying force for humanity, further promoting India’s leadership in the global wellness movement.
Global Engagement and Subscription Information
In addition to fostering local participation, the newsletter aims to highlight activities organized by Indian embassies and diaspora communities, ensuring that the spirit of IDY resonates across continents. This global outreach is crucial for promoting yoga as a means of enhancing well-being worldwide.
