Mangal’s banging on the parlour door, asking someone to open it up. She starts searching around in the dark for her phone. Back at home, Kusum spots Akshat looking stressed and decides to get him some water. Akshat reaches out and grabs what he thinks is Kusum’s hand, but he doesn’t realize Bijli’s come there instead. He tells her that Chinta Bua plotted against his mom—she planned to lock Mangal in a parlour to prevent her from making it to the wedding. Then he actually looks and sees it’s Bijli holding his hand. He’s shocked.

Mangal finally finds her phone and discovers eight missed calls from Akshat. At their house, a mirror breaks. Adit tries cleaning it up, but his hand gets injured in the process. His inner voice mocks him, saying he lost his wife Mangal, and today she’s getting married to Kapil—he’s lost her completely, he’s a bloody loser. Adit shouts out in frustration.

Guests are asking Shanti about Mangal. Shanti asks them to have some juice and tells Lipika to call Mangal and find out where she is. Lipika says Mangal’s phone is switched off. Chinta Bua takes Lipika with her to introduce her to the guests.

A Son in Danger

Bijli tells Mangal not to worry and says she’ll call her mom for help. But Akshat refuses to believe her. He tries going to Kusum, but Chinta Bua and Bijli grab him and take him aside, hiding him from Kusum’s view. Kusum comes there carrying water and looks around for Akshat. Sudesh calls for Kusum, and she goes over to him. Chinta Bua and Bijli take Akshat away from that area. Mangal sees her phone’s switched off and doesn’t know what to do next. Chinta Bua and Bijli cover Akshat’s mouth and lock him inside a dark room where there’s a short circuit happening. Akshat feels suffocated and falls unconscious. (This is where things get really dangerous.)

After some time passes, Akshat regains consciousness. He removes the plaster from his mouth and he’s shocked to see electric wires sparking all around him. Mangal notices there’s power outside the parlour. She searches for the switchboard inside, but the lights won’t work. She shouts for help.

Akshat calls out “Mamma, Mamma!” and faints again. Mangal gets this strange feeling—she senses that Akshat’s in danger somehow.

Schemes and Near Disasters

Bijli’s praising Chinta Bua for managing to keep both Mangal and her son away from the wedding. Chinta Bua says Kapil’s waiting for Mangal in the mandap, but he has no idea Mangal won’t be coming at all. Bijli smiles at this. Chinta tells Bijli she’ll gift her something special for making Lipika become Kapil’s bride instead. Then something happens. A waiter accidentally drops water near Akshat’s locked room. The water starts flowing slowly toward the live wires.

Mangal gathers all her strength. She prays to Devi Maa, breaks the glass on the parlour door with her bare hands, and escapes. Chinta tells Bijli she’s now going to execute her next step in the plan. She makes a call to Shanti. Shanti and her family go to where Chinta Bua is. Chinta Bua asks Shanti to call Mangal since the muhurat is getting close. She asks if Mangal’s ready. Shanti says Mangal will arrive soon and quietly asks Ishana to call her. Ishana says her mother’s phone is switched off. Chinta Bua says it’s wrong to make the groom wait this long in the mandap. Shanti insists Mangal will be there soon.

Mangal’s drenched in rain, running toward the venue. She’s feeling strongly that Akshat’s in danger. Kapil asks Chinta Bua why Mangal hasn’t arrived yet. He says Mangal’s always ready early and hopes nothing’s wrong. Pratima says she’ll go check on her, but Chinta Bua stops her. She says Shanti knows her daughter best and should handle it. Kusum’s wondering why Mangal’s taking so long to get there.
