The current iPhone 16e, for instance, was launched at a price of Rs. 51,999 and features only one rear camera, lacking both MagSafe and Dynamic Island functionalities. This potential upgrade to the iPhone 17e suggests that Apple may be redefining its approach to the ‘e’ series, aiming for a more consistent user experience across its product range.

In addition to the anticipated camera upgrade, rumors suggest that the iPhone 17e will be powered by the A19 chip and will include the Dynamic Island feature, along with a redesigned aesthetic. The iPhone 16e faced challenges in establishing its market position due to its pricing, which was higher than typical budget devices yet close enough to the standard iPhone 16 that many consumers opted for the latter. To address this issue, Apple may coordinate the launch of the iPhone 17e with the regular iPhone release, creating a more cohesive strategy. If the 2026 model incorporates both the Centre Stage feature and Dynamic Island, it could present a compelling option for consumers.
