Yesterday evening in Bangalore, a guided bus tour of the city depicted “History of Bengaluru” and a cultural program showing the cultural heritage of Karnataka.

The tour gave a glimpse of India’s fastest-growing city, its beautiful gardens and the prowess Bangalore has acquired as the country’s Silicon Valley.

In Bangalore Palace delegates witnessed the turreted parapets, battlements, fortified towers and arches that adorn this regal architectural masterpiece. Its design drew inspiration from Windsor Castle in England. The presence of an open courtyard is evidence of the long cultural, historical and musical heritage of Karnataka. Delegates also visited the Museum of Art and Photography, Cubbon Park and Vidhana Soudha. The bus tour concluded with a visit to the Mahatma Gandhi statue where a group photo session was held. “The Bengaluru Story” was designed by the Karnataka tourism department.

The first day of the 2nd TIWG Meeting concluded with a cultural program followed by a gala dinner. The cultural program showcased the well-known legacy of cultural traditions and dance forms of Karnataka and included performances by Kalaanidhi Nruthya Mandiram, Space Kathak and Shree Natya Niketan.

The second TIWG meeting kicked off yesterday in Bengaluru with over 100 delegates attending. In addition to representatives from G20 countries, delegates from invited countries and regional and international organizations are also engaged in collaborative discussions to accelerate global trade and investment.
