Empowering Justice: Regional Workshop Launches Legal Awareness Campaign
On June 15, 2026, the Department of Justice under the Ministry of Law and Justice in India convened a significant Regional Workshop at the Government Degree College auditorium in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The event was part of the Tele-Law programme under the DISHA scheme and celebrated twelve years of transformative reforms in the justice sector. This initiative aims to foster greater public engagement within the justice delivery ecosystem. Activities introduced under this campaign include:
- Know Your Rights in 90 Seconds: A fast-track initiative to educate citizens on their legal rights.
- Nyaya Quiz: An interactive platform aimed at enhancing awareness of constitutional values and citizens’ rights, especially among the youth.
- Pro Bono Pledge: A call for legal professionals to voluntarily offer their services to underserved communities.
The workshop also featured community service experiences shared by students and faculty from the Himachal Pradesh National Law University, showcasing their Pro Bono initiatives.

Attendees viewed a poignant documentary highlighting the success of technology-enabled legal services, featuring stories from beneficiaries of the Tele-Law initiative.
