Applications Open for National Teachers Awards 2026

The Union Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education & Literacy has announced the call for online applications and nominations for the prestigious National Teachers Awards 2026. This annual event is designed to recognize and celebrate the exceptional contributions made by teachers who enhance the quality of school education and foster the holistic development of their students.

Teachers who serve in various educational institutions, including those managed by the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, local bodies, as well as aided and private schools affiliated with recognized Boards, are encouraged to apply. The application process will be open from June 15, 2026, to July 10, 2026. Detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria, evaluation processes, and timelines will be available on the National Awards Portal.
