Amrit Udyan Opens for Public This Summer
The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition for 2026 today, August 14. The gardens will be accessible to the public from August 16 to September 15, 2026, offering visitors a chance to enjoy the lush greenery throughout the summer.
During this period, the Udyan will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing families and individuals to explore its beauty. However, the last entry will be permitted at 5:00 PM. To ensure proper upkeep, the gardens will not open on Mondays.
Entry to Amrit Udyan is free of charge. Visitors will need to make online reservations at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in. It’s essential to book slots in advance, as the booking for a specific day will close at 10:00 AM the day before. Please note that there will be no on-the-spot bookings available, making prior arrangements crucial.
For the convenience of all visitors, several amenities are being provided within the Udyan. These include drinking water stalls, First Aid posts, rain shelters, and restrooms positioned along the visitor route. Additionally, a shuttle bus service, prominently marked as ‘SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR AMRIT UDYAN,’ will run every 30 minutes from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to the entry point of Amrit Udyan, operating between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
