Enhancing Social Security for Informal Workers
The Ministry of Labour and Employment, along with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA), recently hosted a significant two-day international seminar in New Delhi. This event focused on a pressing issue: “Formalization and Social Security Coverage for Workers in the Informal Sector: Challenges and Innovations.” The seminar gathered over 200 participants, including social security experts, policymakers, and representatives from various international organizations.
