Advancements in Healthcare and Industry
The Prime Minister’s visit will also focus on healthcare and industrial development in Andhra Pradesh. He will lay the foundation for the Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district. This park is expected to create thousands of jobs and accelerate economic growth due to its strategic location near the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor. The Bulk Drug Park will play a vital role in enhancing the pharmaceutical sector in the region.
Furthermore, Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) in Tirupati District. This project, part of the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme, aims to create a greenfield industrial smart city. With an estimated investment of โน10,500 crore, KRIS City is projected to generate around 100,000 direct and indirect jobs. This initiative will significantly improve livelihoods and drive regional progress, aligning with the government’s vision for industrial growth.
Celebrating the Indian Diaspora in Odisha
On January 9, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This flagship event of the Government of India serves as a vital platform for connecting with the Indian diaspora. Participants from over 50 countries are expected to attend, showcasing the global reach of the Indian diaspora.
