His novel ‘Chandrakanta’ has contributed a lot in the promotion of Hindi language. This novel had fascinated everyone. Many non-Hindi speakers learned Hindi language to enjoy this book. Babu Devaki Nandan Khatri made words like ‘Talism’, ‘Aiyar’ and ‘Aiyaari’ popular among Hindi speakers.

Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis (29 June 1893 – 28 June 1972) was a renowned Indian scientist and statistician, celebrated for his pioneering work in statistics. He is best known for the Mahalanobis distance, a statistical measure. His contributions have been so significant that his birthday is observed as National Statistics Day in India.

Sardar Baldev Singh (11 July 1902 – 29 June 1961) was a famous freedom fighter, politician and first defense minister of India. He was an MLA in the fourth assembly of Uttar Pradesh. In the 1967 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, he participated in the elections from 15, Gainsari Legislative Assembly constituency of Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on behalf of All India Jan Sangh.

Damodar Dharmananda Kosambi (31 July 1907 – 29 June 1966) was a famous scholar, linguist and mathematician of India. Apart from mathematics, he has also made an incomparable contribution to the history and culture of India. Damodar Dharmananda ji served in the ‘Tata Institute of Fundamental Research’ for sixteen years. Due to some disputes with Homi Bhabha, he was removed from the institute.
