Walther Bothe (8 January 1891 โ 8 February 1957) was a German nuclear physicist. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1954 with Max Born. He was born on 8 January 1891, in Oranienburg, German Empire. He studied under physics legend Max Planck and excelled in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. In 1913, he became Planckโs assistant. He got his doctorate in 1914, under Planck.
