NLC India Limited Launches Nationwide E-Waste Campaign
NLC India Limited (NLCIL) is making significant strides in environmental sustainability through its participation in Special Campaign 6, a nationwide initiative led by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). With a focus on the effective collection, segregation, and eco-friendly disposal of electronic waste, the campaign underscores NLCIL’s commitment to sustainable resource management and operational excellence.
After an intensive preparation phase that lasted from September 15 to September 30, 2026, NLCIL has now entered the implementation phase, which runs until October 31, 2026. The company’s efforts align with the E-Waste Management Rules 2022, aiming to ensure responsible management of electronic waste across their operations.

E-Waste Management Efforts

The company processed a total of 2,042 items of e-waste, broken down into various categories: 1,491 items of Information Technology and Telecommunication Equipment, 351 Laboratory Instruments, and 200 Consumer Electrical items. This approach not only facilitates the responsible disposal of outdated electronic assets but also aligns with NLCIL’s commitment to circular resource management.
Through these initiatives, NLC India Limited continues to demonstrate leadership in environmental sustainability within the framework of Special Campaign 6, focusing on effective waste management and enhancing workplace practices.
