However, the makers have confirmed that the film will be released in cinemas on Thursday, October 15, 2026, alongside its versions in other languages.
Clarification on Hindi Release
The clarification comes in response to reports suggesting that the Hindi version of Jailer 2 could face restrictions due to the gap between its theatrical release and its premiere on OTT platforms. Some sources indicated that this situation might be linked to a four-week OTT window, which is reportedly part of a larger digital rights deal. Typically, national multiplex chains like PVR INOX and Cinepolis adhere to an eight-week theatrical-to-OTT window for Hindi films.
These reports led to concerns that the Hindi version of Jailer 2 might have a limited theatrical presence, especially in the Hindi-speaking market. However, the team has firmly stated that there has been no change to the film’s planned Hindi theatrical release.
Official Statement from the Makers
In their official statement, the Jailer 2 team said, “In light of recent media reports suggesting that Jailer 2 will not be releasing in Hindi, we would like to officially clarify that the film’s Hindi version is scheduled for a theatrical release on Thursday, 15th October 2026, alongside its other language versions, as originally planned.”
Additionally, the team confirmed that the Hindi version will be distributed in the North Indian market by Pen Marudhar Entertainment. They reiterated that the release schedule remains unchanged, stating, “There has been no change to the scheduled Hindi theatrical release.”

The statement also addressed the circulation of unverified reports regarding the film’s Hindi release. The makers requested, “We request all media publications and platforms to take note of this clarification and refrain from circulating any unverified information regarding the film’s release.” They concluded by expressing gratitude to the media for their support and cooperation.
