Pension Department Launches Campaign to Reduce Pending Matters
The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has officially commenced the preparatory phase for its Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters, also known as SCDPM 6.0, following its initiation by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) on September 16, 2026. This campaign aims to enhance efficiency in dealing with pending cases and improve the overall experience for pensioners.
Campaign Details and Focus Areas
Starting from October 2 to October 31, 2026, the main campaign will tackle several key areas including minimizing unresolved grievances, refining records management practices, and strengthening internal monitoring systems. There will also be a renewed focus on initiatives designed to enhance the ‘Ease of Rules’ for pensioners, improving their overall quality of life.
Cleanliness Initiatives and Inspections
As part of the campaign, the DoPPW has teamed up with Central Government Pensioners’ Associations to select 21 cleanliness sites across the country. During the preparatory phase, the Joint Secretary (Pension) visited these sites, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and commitment to achieving the goals set for the campaign.
