Aadhaar App Surges to 31 Million Downloads in Just Months

The Aadhaar App is rapidly gaining traction across India, having been downloaded over 31 million times since its launch less than five months ago. This impressive adoption rate highlights the growing trust among residents in using the app to access essential services conveniently from their smartphones.

Created with the goal of enhancing the daily lives of citizens, the Aadhaar App allows users to easily update their mobile numbers and addresses directly from their devices. To date, nearly 4 million mobile number updates and around 850,000 address updates have been successfully processed through the app.

One of the standout features of the Aadhaar App is its emphasis on user privacy and convenience. Designed specifically for Aadhaar Number Holders (ANH), it enables individuals to securely show, share, and verify their identities. Notable features include a one-click biometric lock/unlock option, face verification for presence confirmation, authentication history, and a QR-based editable contact card that eliminates the need for traditional visiting cards. Users can also download their e-Aadhaar and book appointments online for visits to Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs).

Versatile Applications Enhance User Experience

The Aadhaar App supports a diverse array of practical use cases that cater to everyday needs. For instance, it facilitates hotel check-ins through QR code scanning, hospital admissions, visitor management, event entries, and identity verification for gig workers and service partners. Such versatility ensures that the app is not just a utility but an integral part of daily life for many.

Available on Major Platforms

Available for both Android and iOS devices, the Aadhaar App is easily accessible to a wide audience. Users can download the app from their respective app stores:
