Karnataka Delegation Explores Rajasthan’s Cultural Heritage in Yuva Sangam
In a vibrant exchange of culture and education, a delegation from Karnataka, guided by the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad, recently completed a notable visit to Rajasthan as part of the Yuva Sangam Phase VI initiative. Hosted by the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur, the visit provided participants with a unique opportunity to delve into the rich traditions and academic environment of the state.
The trip reached a significant milestone during the delegation’s audience with Rajasthan’s Governor, Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, at Lok Bhavan in Jaipur on June 9, 2026. In this engaging session, the Governor inspired the young delegates to appreciate India’s cultural diversity and play an active role in nation-building. He emphasized the crucial role of youth in fostering social harmony and mutual understanding throughout the country, offering them profound insights into leadership and public service.
Immersive Cultural Experience
Throughout their visit, the delegation explored numerous iconic heritage sites and cultural landmarks across Rajasthan. This exposure allowed them to witness the state’s historical richness and architectural marvels firsthand. Participants were enthralled by Rajasthan’s distinctive folk culture, actively engaging with local artists and enjoying various cultural performances, as well as interacting with traditional crafts and indigenous art forms.
Academic Engagement at MNIT
The Karnataka delegates also had the chance to visit the academic and research facilities at MNIT Jaipur. Their interactions with faculty members, researchers, and students enriched their understanding of the ongoing innovations and research initiatives within the institute. This environment fostered discussions about entrepreneurial activities and advancements in science and technology, allowing participants to exchange ideas and experiences for potential academic collaborations.
Insights into Developmental Achievements
Adding to the experiential learning component of the Yuva Sangam initiative, the delegation toured various developmental and infrastructural landmarks throughout Rajasthan. These explorations provided invaluable insights into the state’s achievements in urban development, sustainable practices, tourism promotion, and public administration.
