Sandeep Modi will helm the upcoming film, which marks a significant shift from the war drama that was initially planned between him, Aaryan, and Johar. This war film was announced on Aaryan’s birthday in November 2023 and was set to begin production in 2024, with a release date of August 15, 2025. However, due to various reasons, the project did not materialize. Despite this setback, Aaryan and Modi maintained a strong professional relationship, promising to collaborate on a future project when the right script emerged. Earlier this year, Modi pitched a new concept to Aaryan and Johar, which both found appealing enough to move forward with.

The new film will not be a reimagined version of the previously planned war drama. Instead, it will feature an entirely fresh script that emphasizes action. Sources indicate that this project aims to showcase Kartik Aaryan in a different light, presenting him in a new avatar that diverges from his previous roles. This shift is particularly noteworthy as it distinguishes this film from Aaryan’s other two collaborations with Dharma Productions, which include a romantic comedy and a fantasy comedy.
