CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS EXAMINATION 2025
On August 3, 2025, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the written portion of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination. Following the results, a list of candidates who have qualified for the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) has been released. These candidates must prepare to present original documents to verify their eligibility during the upcoming Personality Test. The commission has outlined important steps and deadlines for these candidates to ensure their participation in the next phase of the selection process.
Provisional Candidature and Document Verification
The candidates who have qualified for the PST/PET are considered provisional. This status is contingent upon their eligibility being confirmed in all respects. To proceed, candidates must present original certificates that support their claims regarding age, educational qualifications, community status, and any reservation benefits they may be entitled to, such as those for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen. It is crucial that these documents are prepared in advance, as they will be required at the time of the Personality Test. The deadline for submitting these documents is set for March 25, 2025, which is the closing date for the CAPF (ACs) Examination applications.
Updating Candidate Information
The UPSC will provide a 15-day window for candidates to update their details following the announcement of the written exam results. During this period, candidates must confirm their educational qualifications and provide proof of passing any requisite examinations. They will also have the opportunity to update their correspondence address, higher educational qualifications, achievements, employment details, and preferences for forces based on previous examinations. It is important to note that any changes made during this window will be considered final, and requests for modifications through other means will not be accepted.
Details of the Physical Tests
The Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), designated as the nodal authority by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will communicate the specifics regarding the date, time, and venue for the PST/PET. Candidates can expect this information to be posted on the ITBP recruitment website. E-Admit Cards will also be distributed online, and candidates will receive notifications via their registered email addresses. It is advisable for candidates to regularly check both the ITBP website and their email, including the spam folder, to ensure they do not miss any important communications. If a candidate does not receive their E-Admit Card in a timely manner, they should reach out to the ITBP headquarters or the UPSC for assistance.
Accessing Results and Further Information
Candidates who do not qualify for the PST/PET will have their marksheets uploaded on the UPSC website after the final results are published. These marksheets will be available for 30 days, and candidates can access them by entering their roll numbers and dates of birth. For those wishing to obtain printed copies of their marksheets, requests must be made within 30 days of the marks being displayed online. Additionally, the UPSC has established a Facilitation Counter at its campus for candidates seeking information or clarification regarding their examinations and results. This service is available on working days during specified hours. Candidates are reminded that mobile phones are prohibited on the UPSC campus.
