PIB Hosts Preventive Health Check-up and Consultation Camp for Safai Mitra

The Press Information Bureau (PIB), in partnership with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, hosted a health check-up and consultation camp for Safai Mitras and PIB officials at Shastri Bhawan and the National Media Centre in New Delhi. This initiative is part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025, which runs from September 17 to October 2, and aims to enhance health and well-being among participants. The camp featured both Ayurvedic and allopathic medical consultations, attracting significant participation from officials and staff.

Health Camp Overview

The health camp organized by the PIB and its partners provided a comprehensive approach to preventive healthcare. It featured two distinct streams of medical consultation: Ayurveda and allopathy. At Shastri Bhawan, Ayurvedic services were led by Dr. Rama Kant Yadava and Rajaram Mahto from the AIIA. Meanwhile, the allopathy services at the National Media Centre were managed by Dr. Shailesh Kumar and Dr. Ramesh Chand Meena from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Medical teams from both institutions, including doctors and nursing staff, conducted thorough health assessments and consultations for attendees.

Over 50 Safai Mitras and approximately 200 PIB officials took advantage of the Ayurvedic consultations, while around 195 officials participated in the allopathic health check-ups. This dual approach ensured that a wide range of health needs were addressed, promoting a holistic view of health and wellness among the participants.

Leadership and Participation

Shri Dhirendra Ojha, the Principal Director General of PIB, demonstrated leadership by being the first to seek consultation at the Ayurvedic camp. His early arrival and proactive engagement set a positive example for other officials, encouraging them to participate actively in the health initiative. The involvement of senior officials not only highlighted the importance of health but also fostered a culture of wellness within the organization.

The camp also emphasized the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, which focuses on women’s health and family well-being. Female officials and staff participated enthusiastically, reflecting the government’s commitment to promoting health among women and families.

Acknowledgment of Medical Staff

In recognition of the invaluable contributions made during the health camp, Ms. Anupama Bhatnagar, Director General of PIB, honored the doctors and medical staff from AIIA and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. She presented them with certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their dedication and hard work in providing essential healthcare services to the attendees.

This gesture not only celebrated the medical professionals’ efforts but also reinforced the significance of collaborative health initiatives. The recognition served to motivate the staff and highlighted the importance of teamwork in promoting public health.

Commitment to Holistic Well-Being

The health camp underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to the holistic well-being of Safai Mitras and PIB personnel. By facilitating access to preventive and integrated healthcare services, the initiative aims to improve the overall health landscape for these individuals. The collaborative effort between various health institutions exemplifies a proactive approach to public health, ensuring that essential services are readily available to those who serve the community.
