Mahamaya Prasad Sinha (1 May 1909 โ€“ 1987) was an Indian politician. He was the fifth Chief Minister of Bihar from March 1967 to January 1968, the first non-congress Government in Bihar. He belongs to the Jan Kranti Dal party. Sinha was born on 1 May 1909 in Siwan district, Bihar.

Balraj Sahni (1 May 1913 โ€“ 13 April 1973), was an actor, writer, author, screenwriter, stage actor, film actor, and autobiographer. He is best known for Dharti Ke Lal (1946), Do Bigha Zameen (1953), Kabuliwala (1961), and Garam Hawa (1973). He was born on 1 May 1913 inย Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan.

Madhu Limaye (1 May 1922 โ€“ 1995), was an Indian socialist essayist and activist, particularly active in the 1970s. He mainly writes on Constitutional issues, where he sets himself the task of defending the Constitution in the media. He was born in Pune on 1 May 1922.

Anand Gopal Mahindra is an Indian billionaire businessman, and the chairman of Mahindra Group. He is the grandson of Jagdish Chandra Mahindra, co-founder of Mahindra.
