Youth Empowerment Takes Center Stage in Delhi Initiative
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, has ramped up its efforts to engage the youth through the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) initiative. On March 10, 2026, the second phase of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP) launched a series of outreach activities across colleges in the national capital, aimed at inspiring and involving over 10,000 young individuals in a national development initiative.
Interactive Sessions Spark Enthusiasm
As part of this invigorating outreach, renowned Youth Icons, including Ramandeep Singh, Lavisha Arora, Sneha Bhardwaj, Ankit Kumar, and Sakshi Shah, led engaging sessions at prestigious institutions such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College, and Maharishi Valmiki College of Education.
Building a Collaborative Future
These sessions attracted over 900 enthusiastic students, showcasing a rising interest in participating in the nation-building process. During these interactions, the Youth Icons shared valuable insights from various national youth initiatives, encouraging students to voice their ideas and take part in shaping an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Encouraging Dialogue and Participation
The programme featured a series of dynamic presentations and Yuva Samvad discussions, concentrating on crucial themes such as nation-building, leadership, and the role of youth in governance. The goal is to create a platform where the voices of the Amrit Peedhi contribute meaningfully to India’s development trajectory, embodying the spirit of Jan Bhagidari.
Promotion of Active Engagement
In conjunction with these sessions, MY Bharat also conducted awareness and registration drives at participating colleges. These efforts aim to motivate youth to join the MY Bharat platform and actively participate in volunteer-driven initiatives, enhancing their involvement in national development projects.
