Youth Empowerment: MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026 Launched

In an exciting development for the nation’s youth, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, has inaugurated the MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026. This innovative initiative aims to enhance young people’s comprehension of the Union Budget while making budgetary provisions more relatable and accessible. By connecting the Union Budget of 2026 to the daily lives of citizens, the program aims to involve youth from colleges and coaching centers nationwide, fostering a spirit of participation and engagement.

Competition Details and Participation

Launching from the MY Bharat platform, the competition is set to commence on February 3, 2026, as a national-level online quiz focused on the Union Budget 2026. Open to all youth registered on the MY Bharat portal, participants will have until February 17, 2026, to take part. Following that, the top performers from each State and Union Territory will move on to the second round, which runs from February 17 to March 3, 2026. During this phase, participants will tackle essay-writing challenges based on eight topics related to the Union Budget, all aligned with the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

Empowering Young Voices

Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the importance of youth engagement in the budgeting process, highlighting that during the latest Budget Speech, the Hon’ble Finance Minister acknowledged innovative ideas proposed by young people during the VBYLD initiative. Some of these ideas were incorporated into the Union Budget for 2026-27. With the MY Bharat Budget Quest, the government seeks to continue this momentum, empowering the voices of the youth once again.

Recognition and Future Opportunities

The evaluation of the essays will take place from March 3 to March 10, 2026, and merit lists will be released on March 10. State and Union Territory winners will gain the unique opportunity to engage directly with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to discuss the vision of the Viksit Bharat Budget. This interaction signifies the government’s commitment to encouraging informed youth participation in national economic discussions and setting developmental priorities.

Through the MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026, the government aims to foster a deeper understanding of financial policies among youth, paving the way for a more informed future generation.
