As the countdown begins for the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21, 2025, India is embracing a nationwide celebration under the banner of Yoga Maha Kumbh. The festivities kicked off with a three-day event in New Delhi at the Heartfulness Meditation Centre, organized by the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), in collaboration with the Heartfulness Institute. This vibrant gathering features yoga demonstrations, wellness sessions, and cultural performances, all aimed at promoting mindfulness and community well-being.

Yoga Maha Kumbh in New Delhi

The Yoga Maha Kumbh in New Delhi commenced with a lively atmosphere, showcasing the significance of yoga in daily life. The International Festival of Yoga and Meditation (IFYM) is taking place in breathtaking locations such as Pangong Lake and Nubra Valley, attracting both national and international attention. Organized by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre and local authorities, this festival embodies the theme โ€œYoga for One Earth, One Health.โ€ The high-altitude terrain of Ladakh provides a unique backdrop for yoga practices, allowing participants to connect with nature while engaging in mindfulness and meditation. This initiative highlights the importance of yoga in promoting global health and environmental consciousness.

Yoga Maha Kumbh Events in Noida

In addition to the events in New Delhi and Ladakh, the second Yoga Maha Kumbh event was launched in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on June 15. Organized by Arham Dhyan Yog, this event aims to engage youth and families through various activities, including Harit Yoga sessions, essay and debate competitions, and interactive workshops. The festivities are taking place at Ved Van Park in Sector 78, with plans for a larger gathering on June 21 at Shivalik Park in Sector 33A, coinciding with the nationwide Yoga Sangam celebrations. Arham Dhyan Yog is also extending its reach by conducting parallel sessions globally, further promoting the IDY 2025 movement and encouraging widespread participation in yoga practices.
