Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), under the Ministry of Ayush, recently hosted a significant event titled โYoga Connectโ at Vigyan Bhawan. This gathering marks a pivotal moment in the lead-up to the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) in 2025, centered around the theme โYoga for One Earth, One Health.โ The event attracted a diverse group of policymakers, yoga masters, scientists, and wellness leaders, all aiming to enhance the role of yoga in promoting individual and global well-being. A survey report was also unveiled, assessing the impact of a decade of IDY celebrations.

He urged participants to view yoga not merely as an activity but as a holistic lifestyle. Shekhawat called for a collective celebration of IDY 2025, encouraging people to honor India’s rich cultural heritage through yoga.
Swami Ramdev echoed these sentiments, stating that nearly 2 billion people in 200 countries currently practice yoga, with hopes that this number will rise to 5 billion in the next five years. He emphasized the spiritual essence of yoga, referencing the Bhagavad Gita and advocating for its daily practice beyond just the International Day of Yoga. Ramdev highlighted the discipline of yoga as essential for both personal growth and national development.

The event saw participation from over 1,000 attendees, including yoga gurus, health professionals, and policymakers from around the world, engaging in a hybrid format. This gathering served as a platform for cross-cultural collaboration and scientific dialogue, fostering a shared vision for holistic well-being.
Several impactful publications were released during the event, including the โYoga Prabhavaโ survey report, which assesses the impact of the International Day of Yoga over the past decade. Other notable releases included โSurveykshan,โ a study on yoga’s national influence, and a scientometric analysis of yoga’s global impact.
