The National Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), under the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) and the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has made significant strides in promoting awareness about clean drinking water. Recently, the mission initiated the prize disbursement process for the winners of the โHar Ghar Jal Quiz: Jal Ka Gyan Ab Hua Aasan Competition.โ This competition, hosted on the MyGov portal, aimed to engage citizens and raise awareness about the importance of access to clean drinking water for every rural household in India.
Engaging Citizens Through the Quiz
The โHar Ghar Jal Quizโ received an enthusiastic response from citizens across the nation. Over 50,000 participants took part in the quiz, demonstrating a strong commitment to the Jal Jeevan Mission. The quiz not only tested participants’ knowledge but also encouraged them to learn more about water conservation and sanitation. This initiative reflects the government’s efforts to involve the public in crucial issues related to water access and sustainability.
The quiz was designed to be informative and engaging, making it easier for participants to grasp the significance of clean drinking water. By participating, citizens could deepen their understanding of water-related challenges and solutions. The overwhelming participation indicates a growing awareness and concern for water conservation among the populace.
Prize Distribution Process
On June 7, 2024, the JJM published a list of 1,500 winners on the MyGov platform. This announcement can be accessed at MyGov Winner Announcement. To facilitate the prize distribution, the DDWS has created a dedicated portal for winners to submit their bank details. Each winner will receive a prize of Rs. 2,000.
Winners are encouraged to submit their details by December 31, 2024, to ensure timely disbursement. The portal for submissions can be found at Jal Shakti Quiz Submission. After the deadline, the portal will close, making it essential for all winners to act promptly. This organized approach aims to streamline the distribution process and ensure that all participants receive their rewards efficiently.
Government’s Commitment to Water Conservation
The Secretary of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation has praised the enthusiasm shown by participants in the quiz. He emphasized the government’s dedication to fostering public engagement in water conservation initiatives. The Jal Jeevan Mission aims to provide safe and adequate drinking water to all rural households by 2024.
The success of the quiz reflects a broader commitment to raising awareness about water issues. The government hopes that the knowledge gained through such initiatives will inspire citizens to take action in their communities. By promoting active participation, the JJM aims to create a culture of water conservation and responsible usage among the public.
