Uttar Pradesh Governor Inspires Arunachal Students on Nation-Building
On June 2, 2026, Smt. Anandiben Patel, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, engaged with a delegation of students from Arunachal Pradesh at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow. This meeting was part of the ongoing Yuva Sangam Phase VI initiative, aimed at fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding among the youth of India.
During the interaction, the Governor highlighted the crucial role that young people play in nation-building and encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to society. She emphasized how cultural exchanges can significantly enhance national unity and integration.
The Arunachal Pradesh student delegation, which is part of the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), shared their experiences and valuable lessons learned during their Yuva Sangam journey. The discussions focused on leadership, public service, and the impact youth can have on India’s future.
Welcoming Experience at IIM Lucknow
Prior to meeting the Governor, the delegation was warmly welcomed at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow on June 1, 2026. This warm reception marked the beginning of their educational and cultural visit to Uttar Pradesh.
As part of their itinerary, the students also visited the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. This visit provided them with insights into the functioning of one of India’s key democratic institutions, where they learned about legislative procedures and the parliamentary traditions that underpin the country’s governance.
Exploring Uttar Pradesh’s Rich Heritage
Throughout their visit, the student delegation explored numerous cultural, historical, and developmental landmarks across Uttar Pradesh. These excursions allowed them to experience the state’s rich heritage and vibrant traditions firsthand. They gained a better understanding of Uttar Pradesh’s significant contributions to India’s progress and its diverse social and cultural landscape.
