UPSC Reveals Qualified Candidates for Geo-Scientist Interviews
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the candidates who have successfully qualified for the Interview and Personality Test following the results of the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination, 2026, conducted from June 20 to 21, 2026. A list of eligible candidates has been released, and their participation in the upcoming interviews remains provisional pending verification of their qualifications.
Candidates are reminded to prepare original certificates confirming their age, educational qualifications, community status, and physical disability, among other claims, for presentation at the Personality Test. This requirement is crucial as failure to provide adequate proof may result in the cancellation of their candidature.
Opportunity for Updates and Changes
Those who have qualified for the Personality Test will soon have an opportunity to update their educational qualifications through a designated window at https://upsconline.nic.in. Candidates who did not meet the educational criteria at the time of their application must upload proof of their qualifications during this time. Additionally, the update window will allow changes to correspondence addresses, higher qualifications, achievements, and service preferences. Once submitted, these updates will be considered final.
Important Interview Guidelines
Candidates are encouraged to carefully review the rules pertaining to the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination-2026, as detailed in the Gazette of India published on September 3, 2025, particularly regarding the certificates required for the interview. The responsibility for providing valid proof of eligibility rests solely with the candidates.
Details regarding the interview schedule will be posted on the UPSC website soon, alongside notifications sent directly to the candidates’ email addresses. Applicants are urged to be vigilant about checking their communications, as requests for changes to the interview schedule will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Access to Results and Further Assistance
UPSC plans to release mark-sheets for all candidates within 15 days of the final results’ announcement, with access available on their website for 30 days following the publication. Candidates wishing to receive printed copies of their mark-sheets must make a request within this time frame.
For any queries, candidates can visit the UPSC Facilitation Counter, which operates on weekdays between 10 A.M. and 5 P.M. They can obtain information regarding their examination results via phone at several dedicated numbers.
