Sachin’s keeping a close eye on Tejas, who’s been given the job of washing clothes in the washroom. But Tejas? He’s going through the motions without actually putting in any real effort. Sloppy work, careless handling—it’s obvious he’s not taking this seriously. Sachin’s patience runs thin watching this half-hearted attempt. He issues a clear warning: do the job right, or there’ll be more tasks piled on as punishment for cutting corners. Over at Shakuntala’s place, Renuka drops by for a visit. She launches into detailed accounts of all the chaos that’s been happening at her house lately. Shakuntala listens and comes to her own conclusion—both Tejas and Roshni have gotten what they deserved for their past actions. Fair consequences, in her view.
Sayali walks in carrying a flower delivery for Shakuntala. Renuka’s reaction to seeing her there? Not positive. She clearly doesn’t want Sayali around and makes her discomfort pretty obvious. Right then, dark clouds roll in overhead. Rain’s coming. Renuka rushes upstairs to grab the clothes hanging out to dry on the roof, then tells Sayali to take them into Shakuntala’s bedroom.
Designer Sarees and Missing Cash
Two designers show up at Shakuntala’s home a bit later. They’ve brought elegant sarees for Renuka to look at—pieces meant for her upcoming dance classes. Instead of treating her like a valued customer, though, these designers start mocking her. They make cutting remarks about how she can’t actually afford these luxury items. Renuka’s face shows her embarrassment, but things are about to get worse.
Shakuntala heads into her room to retrieve two lakh rupees for the purchase. She searches. The money’s gone. Completely missing. Everyone’s shocked by this discovery. Renuka—already feeling humiliated after being mocked by the designers—explodes in anger at Shakuntala. How could she be so careless with that much money? With no way to complete the purchase now, Renuka’s shame deepens. She scrambles to cover the awkward situation by lying to the designers, claiming Shakuntala must’ve spent the cash without mentioning it to anyone.
Shakuntala tries explaining once the designers leave. She didn’t take that money. She wouldn’t. But Renuka’s mind has already jumped to suspicion. Who else was in that room? Only three people: herself, Shakuntala, and Sayali, who came in earlier with the clothes. Without any actual evidence, Renuka rushes to judgment and accuses Sayali of stealing the two lakh rupees. Shakuntala jumps to Sayali’s defense immediately. That doesn’t make sense—she was right there when Sayali briefly entered the room to put away the clothes. There’s no way Sayali could’ve taken anything. But Renuka won’t listen to reason. She insists Shakuntala call Sayali right away to confront her about the missing money.
Business Advice Falls on Deaf Ears
Sayali arrives back home to find Sachin still playing supervisor. Now he’s got Tejas peeling peas—another household chore to keep him busy. Watching her husband waste his day monitoring these pointless tasks makes Sayali feel bad for him. He’s got better things to do with his time. She brings up an idea she’s been thinking about: maybe Sachin should think about growing his business by going online. That would actually be productive, unlike babysitting Tejas through daily chores.
Renuka and Roshni walk in together shortly after. Renuka immediately starts ordering Sayali around—make her tea, she demands. Sachin cuts that off quick. That’s not how things work anymore. Roshni’s responsible for cooking and serving now, not Sayali. Paresh backs him up on this division of duties. (Finally, someone’s setting boundaries.)
This doesn’t sit well with Renuka at all. She’s clearly annoyed that Sayali didn’t jump to obey her command. Her irritation boils over into scolding Sayali for not following orders. Then she goes further, mocking Sayali’s business ambitions. She’ll never succeed at expanding anything, Renuka says dismissively. Her ventures are doomed to fail.
While Renuka’s still fuming, she’s waiting for something specific—Shakuntala’s phone call about the missing cash. When her phone finally rings, Renuka puts on quite a performance. She acts completely surprised by the news, like she’s hearing about it for the first time. Then she pushes her narrative: Sayali was the only outsider who went into that room. She’s trying to make sure everyone believes Sayali’s the thief.
