Scene 1: A Cup of Tea and Tired Feet
Sachin drags himself through the door, his shoulders sagging. He drops his bag with a thud. “Sayali,” he calls out, his voice hoarse. “Can I get a cup of tea?” Sayali rushes over, her eyes scanning his hunched posture. “You’re completely worn out,” she says, leading him to a chair. “Let me rub your legs. That’ll help.” Sachin leans back, exhaling deeply. “Thanks. I’ve been working nonstop to save for our new room.” Sayali kneels, gently pressing her palms against his calves. “You don’t have to push yourself this hard,” she murmurs. “We’ll manage.” Their quiet moment is interrupted by a loud laugh from outside. It’s Tejas, shouting into his phone. “Roshni! Guess what? We got a huge order!” His wife’s voice crackles through the speaker. “That’s amazing! Keep going, you’re a genius!”
Scene 2: A Deal Gone Wrong
Tejas struts into his showroom, still buzzing from the good news. Suddenly, two CID officers walk in. “We need to ask you about a recent sale,” one says. Tejas nods. “Sure, I sold some high-end electronics for cash.” The officer frowns. “Did you check the money?” Tejas shrugs. “It looked normal.” The officer pulls out a note. “This is counterfeit. All of it.” He slams a stack of rupees on the table. “You accepted black money.” Tejas pales. “I didn’t know! Please, take the cash, but give me back my products!” The officers ignore his pleas and leave with the money. Later, Tejas storms into the police station. “Where’s my stuff?” he demands. The desk officer sighs. “Those weren’t real CID officers. They were con artists.” He glares at Tejas. “How could you, an educated man, fall for this?” Tejas sinks into a chair, his hands gripping his hair.
Scene 3: A Mother’s Bitter Grudge
At home, Renuka sits stiffly, watching her sons chat with their wives. Sachin brings Sayali a glass of water. Akash laughs at something his wife says. Tejas texts Roshni nonstop. Renuka’s jaw tightens. “They’ve forgotten their parents,” she snaps at Paresh. “They only care about their wives.” Paresh yawns, handing her three wooden toys. “These are for ignoring problems,” he says dryly. “If you stop judging, everyone stays peaceful.” Renuka’s face reddens. “You think this is a joke?” Her anger explodes later when Tejas tells her about the scam. SLAP! Her hand whips across his cheek. SLAP! Again. “You idiot!” she screams. “All my sacrifices—your education, your food, your clothes—just so you could ruin everything?” Tejas flinches. “Maa, I need five lakh rupees to repay the company.” SLAP! A third strike. “Five lakh? For your stupidity?” She storms off, muttering. “If I give Sayali’s jewelry to Tejas, no one must know. If Roshni finds out, she’ll leave.”
Scene 4: Precap: The Jewelry War Begins
Sayali wakes up, her fingers brushing her bare neck. “Where’s my necklace?” she wonders aloud. A servant whispers, “Didi, I saw Renuka giving your jewelry to Tejas yesterday.” Sayali’s eyes narrow. “So my mother-in-law stole my jewels?” She grabs her bag. “I’m going to get them back.” At Renuka’s house, Sayali knocks. Renuka opens the door, her smile fake. “Aunty,” Sayali says sweetly. “I need my jewelry. I heard you have it.” Renuka stiffens. “Why would I take your things?” Sayali crosses her arms. “Let’s skip the lies. Give me my stuff.”
