Now Let’s read out the latest drama, relationships, and unexpected events that happened through our scene-wise Udne Ki Aasha Written Update.
Scene 1: Counting the Family Fund
Paresh gathers his sons around the living room table. He spreads his hands and asks, “How much can each of you add to our family fund?” Sachin leans forward first. “I can give ten thousand rupees,” he says. Akash nods and echoes, “I’ll also put in ten thousand.” Tejas shifts in his chair. He glances at his brothers and then at his father. “I will give five thousand rupees,” he announces. At that moment, the three daughters-in-law enter. Each of them offers to chip in from her own earnings. They speak quietly among themselves, deciding on amounts that match their incomes.
Renuka crosses her arms. She declares she wants to keep her money separate. “I’ll save my share on my own,” she says firmly. Paresh shakes his head. “This money is for all of us,” he replies. “I won’t let one person take the whole duty.” Renuka’s lips press together. She steps back but does not change her mind. The other daughters-in-law exchange glances before agreeing to pool their parts into the common box. Paresh nods in relief.
Scene 2: Clash Under Moonlight
Late that night, Paresh and Sachin stand by the window, the moonlight casting long shadows on the walls. Paresh holds a piece of paper with the numbers written down. “Sachin,” he begins, “we still need to sort these figures.”
Sachin folds his arms. “Everything seems clear,” he replies, “but I want to know your plan for this money.” Before Paresh can answer, Tejas slips in behind them. Tejas folds his arms and looks at his father. “What will you do with all this cash?” he asks. “And why must I share my room with any of them?” Paresh meets Tejas’s gaze. “This fund will help us all,” he explains. “And everyone must play by the same rules, including sharing rooms when needed.”
Tejas scoffs. “I’m busy building my own business. I don’t want to give up my space.”
Sachin’s face hardens. “You act as if you’re the only one working,” he says. “I drive a taxi every day to earn my share. You were given money for your talent, not to ignore your family.” Tejas steps closer. “My talent makes real money,” he says. “I have the right to focus on it.” Anger flashes in Sachin’s eyes. He shakes his head and raises his voice. “You always put yourself first!” he shouts. Tejas meets his brother’s shout with one of his own. The two begin to argue, their words echoing through the house. Akash rushes in and holds up his hand. “Stop acting like children,” he scolds. “We are a family. Talk this out calmly.” Both brothers take a deep breath and step back, the room falling silent again.
Scene 3: A Promise of Flowers for Mother’s Day
The next morning, Sayali hovers over the vase in the hallway. She arranges fresh marigolds and jasmine into neat garlands. “This will make Mother’s Day special,” she says to Riya. Riya smiles at Sayali’s thought. “You always find a way to show you care,” she tells her warmly. “Let’s hang these around the house.” Sayali nods as she threads flowers onto string. She recalls how Renuka often snaps at her. Still, she thinks about leaving one garland at Renuka’s door so that she does not feel left out. Just then, Roshni walks in carrying a tray of sweets. She pauses and looks at Tejas’s empty room. “Tejas has his own room because he works so hard,” she remarks to Sayali. “But what about the rest of us?” Sayali sets down the garland she is making. “Everyone contributes in their own way,” she replies. “A taxi driver works hard too.” Roshni shrugs and walks away, leaving Sayali to her flowers. Sayali breathes in deep and returns to her task. She hums softly as she finishes the last garland.
Scene 4: Roof-top Dreams and Sibling Jealousy
Later that afternoon, Paresh stands in the courtyard beside a stack of blueprints. He calls out, “These contractors will help me plan a new room.” Tejas and Renuka arrive, surprised to see the architects and a contractor setting up ladders against the house. Sachin follows behind, his curiosity piqued. Paresh leads them to the roof. “I want to build a small room up here,” he says. “A space for Sachin and Sayali.” The contractor unrolls a measuring tape and calls out numbers. “You will need about five lakhs rupees for construction and materials,” he says. “That includes labor, cement, bricks, and roofing.” Tejas’s eyes narrow. Renuka steps forward. “Five lakhs!” she exclaims. “Why should they have a private room?”
Paresh sets his hands on his hips. “They deserve it,” he says. “They work hard and need a quiet place.” Tejas folds his arms. “I see no need,” he says. Renuka nods in agreement. “Better if they move out,” she adds. Paresh’s voice raises. “Enough, Renuka. You don’t get to decide that.” He turns back to the contractor. “I will arrange a loan and start soon.” Renuka scoffs and walks away. Tejas follows her, still muttering. Sachin stays behind with Paresh and the contractor. He smiles at his father. “Thank you,” he says softly. Back in the living room, Mamta arrives with a small box of rupees in her hand. “Sayali sent me the flowers,” she says. “I want to add my share to the building fund.” Paresh smiles at her kindness. He raises a hand. “I cannot take this,” he says gently. “We will manage on our own.” Mamta places the money on the table. “Please use it when you need,” she says. “This is for everyone in the house.” Paresh nods gratefully but leaves the money untouched. Mamta departs with a wave, while Paresh watches her go, determined to build that room for Sachin and Sayali no matter what.
