Two Days’ National Review Conference of Department of Social Justice and Empowerment on 25th May and 26th May

Department of Social Justice and Accountability, Government of India is organizing a two-day National Review Conference with All State/UT Chief Secretaries/Secretaries of Department of Social Welfare/Social Justice on 25th & 26th May 2023 at the International Center Dr. Ambedkar (DAIC), 15 Janpath, New Delhi.

The objective of the National Review Conference is to discuss the issue of welfare schemes implemented by the department for the marginalized section of society, including scheduled caste (SC), other backward class (OBC), the elderly, victims of alcoholism and Substance abuse, transgender people, people engaged in the act of begging, unnotified and nomadic tribes (DNT), economically backward classes (EBC), manual scavengers and economically weakest section (EWS).

The National Review Conference will deliberate on the overview of the schemes, highlighting the best practices and innovations of the States/UTs to establish a better synergy between the States and the Center in terms of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the schemes at the ground level.

THE “National Review Conference” will be chaired by Dr Virender KumarUnion Minister for the Ministry of Social Justice and Emancipation and will be present Shri A. NarayanaswamiMinister of State for the Ministry of Social Justice and Emancipation and Ms. Pratima Boumik, Minister of State for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India, Chief Secretaries/Secretaries of States/UTs and Senior Officials of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India.
