The reduction in gas prices will increase the ease of living for our sisters: Prime Minister

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has decided to reduce the price of LPG cylinders by 200 rupees per cylinder for all LPG consumers, i.e. 33 million connections.

Shri Modi said that Raksha Bandhan festival is a day to increase happiness in our family.

Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana’s consumers will continue to receive the subsidy of ₹200/tank in their accounts.

The government has also approved 75 lakh additional connections to PM Ujjwala, which will bring the total PMUY beneficiaries to 10.35 crore.

Replying to the X threads of the Union Oil and Natural Gas Minister, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, the PM posted on X;

“Rakshabandhan festival is a day to increase happiness in our family. The gas price reduction will increase the comfort of the sisters in my family and make life easier for them. May every sister of mine be happy, healthy, happy, this is my wish to God.
