These players, such as Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer, are expected to draw significant interest, with each being allocated a fixed sum of Rs 20 lakh.

The auction will also have a structured pricing system, with base prices set for various player categories. Ranji Trophy players will start at Rs 10 lakhs, while other players will have a base price of Rs 2 lakhs. Each team has a budget of Rs 1 crore and can have a maximum of 18 players, including four Under-19 talents. The competitive nature of the auction is sure to add an extra layer of excitement to the league.

New Teams and Strategic Investments

The upcoming T20 Mumbai League will feature eight teams, including two newcomers: Sobo Mumbai Falcons and the Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals. The ownership of these teams marks a significant investment in the league, with Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd. acquiring Sobo Mumbai Falcons for Rs 82 crore, while Royal Edge Sports & Entertainment secured the Mumbai South Central team for Rs 57 crore.
