Stellar Blade Launching on PC Next Month with Fresh Content

Stellar Blade, the action-packed title from Shift Up, is set to make its debut on PC next month after a successful launch on PS5 last year. An early leak of the PC announcement trailer revealed that the game will be available on June 11, 2025, and will feature a variety of new content tailored for the platform. This includes enhanced graphics, additional costumes, and new gameplay elements that promise to elevate the gaming experience for PC players.

Early Trailer Leak Confirms PC Release

The excitement surrounding Stellar Blade’s PC version intensified when an early trailer was inadvertently posted on the official PlayStation YouTube channel. Although the trailer has since been removed, it confirmed the anticipated release date and showcased several features that will be exclusive to the PC version. Among the highlights are support for advanced AI upscaling technologies such as Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, which aim to enhance visual fidelity and performance.

Additionally, players can expect an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, and compatibility with ultrawide displays. The trailer also hinted at DualSense controller support, which will include haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, enhancing the immersive experience. Notably, the PC version will introduce a new boss battle against a character named Mann, along with 25 new costumes for the protagonist, Eve, and improved texture resolutions for the gameโ€™s environments. Stellar Blade will be available for purchase on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Shift Up’s Strategic Move to PC

Shift Up, the South Korean developer behind Stellar Blade, had previously indicated its interest in launching a PC version of the game. In a financial earnings report from last year, the studio expressed optimism about the game’s potential performance on PC, citing the growing market share of platforms like Steam in the AAA gaming sector. They anticipated that the PC version could outperform its console counterpart, especially following the global success of titles like Black Myth: Wukong.

In June 2024, Shift Up announced that Stellar Blade had surpassed one million copies sold on PS5, reinforcing their decision to explore a PC release. The game, which debuted exclusively on PS5 on April 26, 2024, follows the journey of Eve, a super soldier tasked with saving Earth from monstrous invaders. While the game received praise for its engaging combat and polished presentation, it also faced criticism for various shortcomings.

Awaiting Official Confirmation

Despite the leaked trailer providing substantial details about the PC version, neither Sony nor Shift Up has officially confirmed the release. However, the information from the trailer suggests that an announcement could be imminent. Fans of the game are eagerly awaiting further updates, as the prospect of enhanced graphics and new content has generated significant buzz within the gaming community.

As the release date approaches, players are encouraged to keep an eye on official channels for any announcements regarding pre-orders or additional features. With its unique storyline and engaging gameplay, Stellar Blade aims to capture the attention of PC gamers and expand its audience beyond the PS5 platform.
