Special guests from various walks of life invited to attend the Independence Day celebrations in New Delhi

As part of the Independence Day celebrations at the historic Red Fort on 15th August 2923, special guests from different walks of life, ranging from Sarpanches of Vibrant Villages, teachers, nurses, farmers and fishermen were invited to join the celebrations . 3 nurses from Haryana state will attend Independence Day celebrations at historic Red Fort in Delhi on 15th August 2023 as special guests.

Fifty nurses, along with their families, are among some 1,800 people who have been invited to hear Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi address the nation from the battlements of the iconic monument. The initiative to invite people from all walks of life, all over India, and take part in the celebrations was taken by the government in line with its vision of ‘Jan Bhagidari’.

Of the 50 nurses invited to attend the celebrations, 3 nurses are from Haryana. Talking to DD News in Faridabad, Haryana, Savita Rani who works as a nurse at Badshah Khan Civil Hospital Blood Bank, Faridabad, appreciated the initiative saying that she, her family and hospital staff feel happy and honored for her to be a part of this great occasion. Savita Rani was earlier also congratulated by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu at Nursing Day for her outstanding work during the COVID 19 crisis.
