Sony Launches Bravia 5 Series 4K Mini LED TVs Up to 85 Inches

Sony has unveiled its latest Bravia 5 smart TV series in India, offering consumers a range of screen sizes up to an impressive 85 inches. This new series is equipped with advanced technology, including the XR processor that utilizes artificial intelligence and cognitive intelligence for enhanced performance. With features such as XR Backlight Master Drive and XR Triluminos Pro, the Bravia 5 promises lifelike visuals. Additionally, it supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, making it a strong contender for home entertainment enthusiasts.

Sony Bravia 5 Series Price in India

The pricing for the Sony Bravia 5 series in India begins at Rs. 1,37,740 for the 55-inch model. The 65-inch variant is priced at Rs. 1,73,840, while the 75-inch model costs Rs. 2,84,990. The largest option, the 85-inch TV, is available for Rs. 4,17,990. Although the 65-inch model’s availability has yet to be confirmed, the other sizes can be purchased through Sony Centres, various e-commerce platforms, and select offline electronic stores across the country.

Sony Bravia 5 Series Features

The Bravia 5 series is offered in four screen sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch. Each model features 4K LCD panels with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, enhanced by Mini LED backlighting and local dimming technology. The series boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision for superior picture quality.

Powered by Sony’s AI-driven XR processor, the Bravia 5 series includes advanced features such as XR Contrast Booster 10, which optimizes brightness and black levels, and XR Triluminos Pro, designed to reproduce over a billion colors for precise color accuracy. Additional enhancements like XR Clear Image and XR Motion Clarity aim to improve overall image clarity. The TVs operate on Android TV with the Google TV interface, providing voice control capabilities, a voice remote, and access to the Google Play Store. The series also includes Studio Calibrated Mode, ensuring accurate visuals for movies, series, and live sports, along with PS5 enhancements like Auto HDR Tone Mapping.

Audio and Connectivity Options

The Sony Bravia 5 series delivers a robust audio experience with a total output of 40W through a four-speaker Acoustic Multi-Audio system. It supports various audio formats, including Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and DTS Digital Surround. Features such as Room and User Position Acoustic Calibration, 3D Surround Upscaling, and Voice Zoom 3 utilize AI technology to enhance audio clarity by isolating and adjusting the volume of human voices.

In terms of connectivity, the Bravia 5 series is equipped with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, eARC, VRR, ALLM, and SBTM. It includes two USB ports, built-in Chromecast, and support for Apple AirPlay and HomeKit. Notably, the series features four HDMI 2.1 ports, capable of supporting 4K video output at a 120Hz refresh rate, making it an excellent choice for gamers and streaming enthusiasts alike.
