Shri Manish Desai today assumed the post of Chief Executive Officer of the Press Information Bureau (PIB). Shri Desai takes over yesterday after the retirement of Shri Rajesh Malhotra.
Shri Manish Desai, a 1989 batch news service. Previously, Shri Desai worked as the Director General of the Central Communications Bureau, dealing with publicity and outreach activities of the government.
Over the course of an illustrious career spanning three decades, Sh. Desai has handled various positions including DG, Film Division, Addl DG (Administration & Training), IIMC, CEO, CBFC. During his time at the Films Division, he was involved in the creation of the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai.
He also worked at PIB Mumbai for over a decade managing media activities of various national and international events including the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa.
