Shilpa Shinde Responds to Critics Following Harassment Claim Admission

Shilpa Shinde has found herself at the center of a significant controversy following her recent admission regarding false sexual harassment allegations against the producer of the popular sitcom “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain.” Her revelation has ignited a heated debate on social media, drawing criticism from various celebrities, fan clubs, and netizens. In response to the backlash, Shilpa took to Instagram to address the situation and clarify her stance.
Shilpa Shinde Responds to Backlash
In a video shared on Instagram, Shilpa addressed the criticism she has faced since her comments resurfaced. While she did not name any specific individuals, she expressed her frustration towards those questioning her motives. “I was questioned – ‘What’s up, Shilpa Shinde? You weren’t on social media then, but you are on social media today’. I don’t know when people will stop gaining publicity in my name. But don’t get on the moving train, you’ll get hurt,” she stated.
Shilpa further emphasized her discontent with those revisiting her past controversies. “To gain publicity, you have your own diseases, the people who have died at home. So why do you need Shilpa Shinde? You are already very publicised. Don’t dig up old graves,” she remarked. She insisted that her decision to speak out now was driven by a desire to correct the record. “If you want to dig up the past, let me remind you that I am alive. Even then, I said with proof,” she added.
Acknowledging Past Mistakes
Shilpa elaborated on her reasons for coming forward after several years. “The biggest thing is that you don’t know things. Stop shouting about it. If you had supported me at that time, this situation wouldn’t have come today,” she explained. She expressed remorse for her previous actions, stating, “I lied. I can’t live with a lie on my heart.” Shilpa acknowledged the complexities of her situation, saying, “If I had arrested them at that time, I would have been arrested myself today. It’s my fault. I accept.”
She urged her critics to understand the context of her actions, referencing the epic Mahabharata to illustrate her point. “If you haven’t read it, then read it. See Mahabharata. If you haven’t seen it, then see it,” she urged.
Defending Her Truth
In her video, Shilpa accused critics of misrepresenting her statements and expressed frustration over the online discourse surrounding her comments. “But don’t come barking like a dog behind Shilpa Shinde. Even then, whatever I said about certain people was manipulated and presented,” she stated. She questioned the motives of those targeting her, saying, “What do you want from me? I am living in peace. Why can’t you see?”
Despite the backlash, Shilpa conveyed that she has no regrets about speaking out. “God forbid, whatever happened to me, shouldn’t happen to you. Because you will be able to live after that. You will not be seen in the world,” she remarked. She reflected on the scrutiny she faced in the past, asserting, “I fought alone at that time. I am ready to fight alone today.”
Shilpa concluded her message by acknowledging the support she received following her appearance on Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast. “And today I have spoken the truth. Even after Bharti and Harsh’s podcast, people said very good things. I appreciate this,” she said. Her latest video has reignited discussions around her confession, with reactions continuing to emerge across social media platforms.
