Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) CEO Venky Mysore has revealed the surprising decision to release Andre Russell from the squad, followed by an immediate offer for him to take on the role of “Power Coach” for IPL 2026. Additionally, Mysore noted that Russell, who will be 38 by the start of IPL 2026, had begun contemplating life after professional cricket, a sentiment that resonated with Khan, who encouraged the transition.
