Sewa Parv 2025 Celebrates Creative Expressions for Viksit Bharat

The Ministry of Culture is set to launch Sewa Parv 2025, a nationwide festival celebrating service, creativity, and cultural pride, from September 17 to October 2, 2025. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision for a developed India by 2047. The festival aims to unite communities, institutions, and individuals in a collective movement centered around the theme of service, encouraging participation through various artistic expressions and workshops.

Art Workshops Across the Nation

As part of the Sewa Parv celebrations, the Ministry of Culture will host One-Day Painting and Art Workshops at 75 prominent locations throughout India. These workshops, themed โ€œViksit Bharat,โ€ are designed to engage professional artists, students, and citizens in expressing their vision of a developed India. The tagline for the event, โ€œViksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang,โ€ emphasizes the connection between art and the aspiration for a prosperous nation. On the inaugural day, September 17, 2025, various institutions under the Ministry of Culture will organize painting workshops and art camps nationwide. For instance, in Lucknow, over 1,500 individuals participated in a mega art workshop attended by notable dignitaries, including the Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Padmashree awardees.

The Sewa Parv 2025 celebrations will feature numerous regional events showcasing local talent and creativity. In Vadodara, Gujarat, workshops at Lal Bahadur Shastri School and Parul University attracted over 2,000 students and artists, guided by eminent professionals. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir’s Convention Centre hosted a workshop with more than 1,300 participants, including university officials and renowned sculptors.

In Tamil Nadu, around 100 participants took part in a painting competition at the South Zone Cultural Centre, judged by a panel of senior artists. Hyderabad’s CCRT Regional Centre saw over 500 participants engaging in interactive painting sessions, while Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, welcomed around 500 attendees at its art workshop, inaugurated by local leaders. In Shantiniketan, West Bengal, over 600 participants contributed to the artistic expression of a developed India.

Digital Engagement and Participation

To enhance participation, the Ministry of Culture has established a digital platform through the Sewa Parv portal. This initiative allows institutions and citizens to document and share their contributions. Participants can upload their artworks and photographs directly to the portal and share their creative expressions on social media using the hashtag #SewaParv.

The portal also serves as a resource for institutional uploads, where various cultural organizations can showcase their events. Additionally, branding and publicity materials are available for download, promoting the festival and encouraging wider engagement. This digital approach aims to foster a sense of community and collective creativity across the nation.

How to Get Involved

Sewa Parv 2025 invites individuals to participate in three main ways. First, anyone can create artwork reflecting the theme โ€œViksit Bharat ke Rang, Kala Ke Sangโ€ and upload their creations on the Sewa Parv portal. Second, participants can join a painting workshop at one of the 75 designated locations across the country. Finally, the festival encourages community involvement through various events and activities leading up to its conclusion on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.
